The mission of the Mid-North Church Council is to foster
greater cooperative and collective efforts in the common ministry of the member churches;
and, upon consensus of the members, to advocate for public policy and social services
which promote and maintain a peaceful, just, and viable neighborhood and community.
Formed in the 1970s, the Mid North Church Council is one of the oldest
faith-based coalitions in the United States.
meetings
The Council meets monthly, except during the
months of July and August. Special meetings or forums may be called at
any time by the President. It is the prerogative of the Senior
Pastors of the Council to oversee the general support of the Council,
especially the spiritual and moral dimensions of its vision and mission.

boundaries
The boundaries and membership of the Council have changed
over its thirty year history and will continue to change as churches, congregations and
service providers find it of value for enhancing their own mission and goals to associate
with those of the Council. Originally the target area of the Council was the
Mapleton-Fall Creek area. Now, however, churches and services organizations in
Butler Tarkington and Meridian Kessler hold membership. See map.
