goals
The mission of the council is
advanced by the individual and collective efforts of its members through:
- Working toward greater coordination of
member and associate member programs and ministries through the efforts of the Community
Concerns and the Community Witness Committees,
- Giving priority to the support of
programs and activities that enhance and promote maximum participation of youth and
families in spiritual, moral, recreational, social and educational activities,
- Creating greater linkages and
partnerships among the member congregations and local care-giving organizations through
projects utilizing neighborhood residents and volunteers,
- Fostering greater communication among
the neighborhood public and private sectors through the churches and neighborhood
association news and information media,
- Planning in cooperation with the
neighborhood organizations an annual celebration on the state of the neighborhood,
inviting participation from local business, civic, social service, and education
organizations.
